Present a Workshop

Reserve an Information Table
Reserve a table inside or, weather permitting, outside the William Pitt Union (the student union building) at the University of Pittsburgh. There is a large amount of student traffic in and around this building, and this is an excellent place to market your company’s opportunities. Host a Pre-Interview Meeting
Give a presentation about your company and its opportunities to students in the William Pitt Union during your On-Campus Interviewing visit. Contact the Employer Services Assistant for more information.
Interact with Faculty
Work with a Career Services Consultant who serves as the liaison with the school(s) and majors of interest to you. They can help you to identify opportunities for meeting with faculty of the departments that are representative of the students you desire to recruit. You may also want to consider volunteering to do a presentation or to serve as a panelist. Faculty frequently looks for resources to assist with class activities.
Talk to Student Organizations
Connect with the student clubs and organizations that are particularly interested in your fields. They often are searching guests to meet with them to discuss trends and options. Contact the Employer Services Coordinator at 412-648-7130 to identify a club or organization for your career field.
Blue & Gold Employer Services
Employer Development and Services offers this new service to employers with position searches facilitated through job postings. The EDS staff will input your job postings into FutureLinks for you to manage. For more information about this service, contact the Employer Services Assistant at 412-648-7129.

Volunteer for Mock Interviews, Job Shadowing, and Networking
Students value opportunities to practice interviewing and receive feedback, to actually experience a day on-the-job, and to network. If you or colleagues are alumni of the University of Pittsburgh, complete a professional profile on the Pitt Career Network. the connection for students to meet with alumni about careers. Each profile will increase your organization's visibility as well as your chance to meet quality candidates through informational interviews.
